Vision

Our vision is for greater Midland to be a healthier and safer community with excellent roads and trail systems for all human powered activities.

Mission Statement

We will work with the appropriate agencies, commissions, and local government leaders to plan and develop infrastructure and educational materials that will encourage safe walking, cycling and other human powered activities in daily routines.

Goals

Goal 1. The immediate goal is to develop a comprehensive plan for non-motorized transportation in Midland and the adjacent townships. The plan will focus on ameliorating the negative effects that sprawling development has had on the safety and usability of roads of the community. Funding for the plan will come from multiple sources, including local foundations and clubs. The ultimate goal is to have this plan adopted and incorporated into appropriate city, township and county plans, and be realized as improved roads and trail systems for all human powered activities.

Goal 2. Develop and deliver educational and promotional materials to encourage citizens to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Such materials will be delivered to schools, youth groups, and civic organizations to encourage the safe use of improved infrastructure in routine activities.
